Opus is a brainwave, paper-made installation, with nerve terminations exposed, simulating synesthesia, a phenomenom which I believed I had developed in my teenage and young adult years after studying and playing piano. This particular piece was inspired by Rachmaninoff's C# prelude.
This installation was site-specific to Galeria Paradiso, a venue that operates both as an art gallery and music venue. The paper beads rattled with the smallest touch, and vibrated with low-frequency subs, specifically, Drum and Bass music.
Dimensions: 3m x 1.50cm x 1m.
